I lay on the skin of the one i inhibit. He sees me when he gazes at glass and he wipes me from his presence. yet i return like a thief to bother him even more.
That's how this game feels. Like a nagging sweat that won't leave you alone. And i cannot begin to decribe its crappiness.
We all remember Tenchu. We all remember the joy of becoming a feared ninja capable of dealing massive destruction with our samurai skills. Everybody loved this; and after Tenchu became a hit, several game companies wanted to take a stab at re-creating it. But imitation is mockery. I'm sure Konami must have cried their eyes out when they tested this sh** game because that's exactly what it is. A piece of sh**. And here's why...
The gameplay is absolutely horrible. It's a broken mess of glitchy graphic designs and SLOW, UNRESPONSIVE controls. It feels like someone has masked the reflexes of a ninja in molasses and then signed him up for a showdown. Pressing any button requires at least 3.5 seconds of lag time before the character performs the desired attack (with the exception of Guard, your character does that quickly enough) and once that attack is performed, you've pressed the buton so many times that you've wasted all of the hard earned expierence points you have on a combo that missed the target. The game plays like a broken record, skipping and laggin all over.
The graphics are decent for a playstation game. The backgrounds are well done but the character animations are pretty poor. The gore looks off color and most of the enemies look exactly the same.
The sound is actually pretty well done. The background music is very hip and energetic, ranging from bass beats to asian drums. There's no voice acting and all of the dialogue is shown in subtitle form, which takes for ever to get through.
Overall, I despised this game. I spent only $4 on it and i feel like i wasted my money. Mediocre graphics, terrible gameply, no value, and sheer stupidity make it completely wothless. Stay away from it. i'm telling ya, it's that bad. So like your ex, forget this game all together.
