Its disappointing that with all the amazing graphics the game lacks what is needed to make this port worth the wait.

User Rating: 6 | SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny PSP
Going to keep this short and sweet for those of you who just want an honest impression of the game.

The essence of soul calibur was really captured from it's previous iterations on the ps2 and ps3. The sound , graphics and the visuals are all amazing . The characters movement is extremely smooth and the arena's are rendered beautifully.

Every thing in the game is superb, that is ......besides the mode selections. There is virtually zero story, instead you get a "gauntlet mode" that is pretty much just another training mode but with a terrible story stringing it together. The game also lacks a traditional arcade mode. All the characters are already unlocked so there is little intensive to play through the " trial mode" which just allows you to choose a character and fight with them through various stages.

Many have said that Broken Destiny feels unfinished and I can't help but to agree. I gave this a 6 because It makes no sense for a game to be so advanced in some areas while painfully lacking in others. Other reviews have mentioned that it really shines in multiplayer mode, but because it isn't online I've yet to experience it. It's hard enough finding some one else with a psp let alone ANOTHER copy if the game this early.
