If you don't have this game for the Dreamcast then by all means get it, it's a great fighter especially fun to play with friends. If you have played the Dreamcast version I think you will be slightly dissapointed, sure the graphics are better and there are more options, but the challenge and good AI are severely lacking. When the XBox initially came out and was marketing itself they bragged about how with all the cpu power and the amazing video card the games would have better AI and be more challenging. Well I'm an admitted lousy video game player all my friends complete games at least a month if not months ahead of me, but on my first outing in Soul Calibur II I beat all the characters including the final boss without using one continue! Definitely increase the default difficulty setting if you want any kind of challenge. I like winning as much as the next guy, but when you can do it without even knowing your characters moves, something is amiss. If you're expecting Soul Calibur II to blow you away compared to original, you need to rent the game and get a reality check.
