The best fighting game around since the orginal.
Gameplay: 9/10 - It's fun. It focuses on weapon combat. It finally ends the reign of button mashers. With this game it'll actually take you time to master all of your favorite character's skills and blocks and use then efficiently. A game where you beat your friends with skill, not who can press the buttons the fastest.
Graphics: 9/10 - All of the characters and backgrounds look stunning. Even more so if you have a widescreen TV with progressive scan. The only time the game seems unrealistic is when the characters are near an edge. They either don't fall when they should or it doesn't look very natural.
Sound: 8/10 - Very nice voice acting and background music. The only problem is some of it gets repetitive. Other than that, it has great sound effects and music.
Value: 10/10 - What do you get if you add 20 different characters plus 20+ different arenas and add tons of different modes? Almost limitless replay value.
Tilt: 9/10 - Soul Caliber 2 is a great game. If you own a Gamecube you need to buy it. Even if you're not a fighting fan, Soul Caliber 2's magic will pull you in.
