User Rating: 10 | SoulCalibur II PS2
This game is really awesome! It has great quality, good voice actors, and excellent music!! Soul Calibur 2 also has many modes you don't see in Soul Calibur 3. The original and extra modes are where the action usually is. But of course you'll probably be in Weapon Master a lot trying to unlock everything which can be tedious but since the stages have booby traps and strange conditions (strong winds, icy floors, quicksand, poison, etc) you'll have loads of fun. Also we can't forget Museum mode!! It has an Art Gallery where you can view high-resolution art, illustrations, and special art!! Then there's Character Profiles where you can learn everything there is to know about the characters!! But to unlock everyone's profile, you'll have to beat Arcade Mode with the character whose profile you want to see. There's also the Weapon Gallery where you can discover secrets behind everyone's weapons!! In Battle Theater (unlocked in Weapon Master),you can view CPU controlled battles! Great for the occasional bet or if your hands are tired! You can view videos that you've unlocked, your records, and the things that you've unlocked!! The most notable thing about Soul Calibur 2 is the guest characters. There are 3 U.S. exclusive ones (Assassin,Berserker, and Lizardman),Necrid who's available in all 3 versions, and the guest characters exclusive for each version. They are Heihachi for PS2,Link for GC,and Spawn for Xbox. If I had to say which one is the best, I say Spawn is. His moves and dark persona help fit in really well. Also he's pretty powerful. Heihachi on the other hand totally sucks. His moves are strong but they're totally dull. The sounds they make when they hit totally make me cringe. Plus his voice sucks as well. Namco should've included someone else from Tekken like Jin or Nina. Anyone from DMC or Final Fantasy would've been nice too. All in all,Soul Calibur 2 is an excellent game. It's very easy to figure out and highly addictive! There'll never be another game like Soul Calibur 2.
