Best fighting game on the Gamecube.

User Rating: 8.5 | SoulCalibur II GC
Soul Calibur II, is the best fighting game on the Gamecube. You wil LOVE this game if you like fighting games. The difficulty is just right, and the weapon master mode is challenging. It will take around 30 minutes to 1 hour to learn the most of the moves for a character. And I have spent around 16 hours playing Soul Calibur II. Around 10 hours trying to unlock everything. And 6 hours of fighting against my friend. I will start writing my main review, I will review in catagories. (Graphics, gameplay, etc.) Gameplay--- 9.0 The controls in this game are great. The only downside is, you can't jump or duck without holding the 'B' button. Soul Calibur II has great gameplay, you can knock the opponent off the level, or chop them to death with your sword. There are many moves for every character. There are also many things to do like arcade mode, watch videos, collect every character's weapons, and do weapon master mode. Weapon master mode is very challenging. But the one thing I don't like about it, is that you can buy ALL the best weapons in one part... it would have been better if you had to defeat a boss just to get one of the best weapons. The gameplay in multiplayer mode is great too. And one of the best things of all, is that the Nintendo Gamecube's Soul Calibur II has Link, from The Legend of Zelda Series. But they also messed up by making 1 character. Charade... he is the same as picking random, he just looks different. It would have been great if he had his own moves. Graphics--- 9.0 The graphics in Soul Calibur II is great. The game also never lags. The background and all the characters are highly detailed. And every character has around 2-3 costumes to make it even better. But they also messed up here, too, by adding them crappy 'country' costumes. The weapons are also highly detailed too. Sound--- 8.0 The sound in this game is pretty good. The music is decent. And every character has 75+ sound effects. Overall--- 8.5 This is a great game. It is well worth a rent, and even worth buying if you love fighting games. -Akai Reaver
