I actually purchased this game on the day it came out, and I am just now writing a review about it. I don't really believe that my review will influence anyone to make a decision on the game, but I just felt it was necessary to get out some of my thoughts on the game. To put it simply, I'll still play this game today, more than a year after its release. To me this means that the game is worth far more than the twenty dollars you can get for today and more even then the fifty bucks I spent on it long ago. The gameplay is fluid and fast-paced and always challenging and the graphics are beautiful. The only downside I ever found to the game was simply the under-par voice acting, but this is easily amended by switching the character voices to Japanese. The game obviously deserves higher than what Gamespot gave it, but this is understandable because the ever-dissapointing critic Greg Kasavin wrote it.
It is almost impossible to give Dreamcast's Soul Calibur any other definition besides perfect. Unfortunately, after so many years of waiting, its second edition, Soul Calibur, did not offer the fans the same astonishing ... Read Full Review
