While it's inferior to Soul Calibur 2, it's still a great game that is sure to please any fighting game fan.

Soul Calibur is truly a great series, this is a great addition to the series. The storyline is hard to describe because you know it's a fighting game, but all you really need to know Siegfried escaped Nightmare and now they are two seperate beings. Gameplay-wise it's really good a great combat system tht stays exciting through out. The graphics look really good, some of the best graphics on the PS2. It sounds great, the level music and the weapon effects are nice, but the voice acting isn't very good. There is a lot of replay value here you might not go through the story mode muliple times, but you are gonna play the arcade mode and VS mode a lot. Anyway while the game is inferior to it's predecessor, it's still a great game that is sure to please any fighting game fan.
