This is a fun game to play.

User Rating: 9.6 | SoulCalibur III PS2
Well, where should I start? Soul Calibur III, the second game I've played in the series and third of the actual game ports. If you're confused, what I mean is I've played Soul Caliubr II for the PS2 and GameCube, so this is my third Soul Calibur game. This version really isn't different except for the fact that you can access the shop from the main menu instead of going into a certain mode to shop (i.e. Weapon Master Mode (SC II) was the only way to shop for new weapons), nice looking graphics, plus the create-a-character mode, which in it's defense, is fun to strip down your female characters to nothing but a bra and underwear, which looks more like a diaper. Plus it's fun making characters from different games like Zelda, Leon S. Kennedy, Sephiroth, just to name a few. The Tales of Souls option is a nice add-on, since it's more like a story mode, which most fighting games lack. Of course it's very difficult to get to the (spoiler alert): actual boss Night Terror, not Abyss. Especially when you must not die just to get to him. Plus he cheats, but probably adds some strategy to the fight. (if you knock him out of the ring he just flies back and you restart your positions but have the keep the same amount of health before the ring out.) The ladies look nice, especially Setsuka, Xianghua, and Ivy. The Chronicle Of Swords, ehh it's alright. Nice feature, but it sucks that most of the stuff you unlock is in the mode and the framerate (which slows down every once and a while) slows down when there are a lot of enemies in the area. But, if you can get over that, it's fine. Too bad they only made this a PS2 game. It doesn't even have online (even tho it really doesn't matter to me cuz i don't have online). So if you like the Soul Calibur games then you'll surely pick this one up, if you're fan of fighting games: try it out and if you like it, great; if not, well, you're missing out on a fun multiplayer game.
