GOOD: The game looks amazing, even without the FMV graphics shown in the opening movie. | | Good weapons system with a selection of countless weapon types and bad-ass weapons... and the classic stupid weapon for each type is always a plus! | | A balanced selection of characters, and three new ones with even more unique weapons adds to the fun. | | Stages are flashy and really cool. | | The new character creation mode. You are able to pick your character's class and then change their wardrobe, which will outcome their dialogue in the gameplay. | | A very creative mission mode with missions that involve killing a stone colossus, and avioding him from falling on you.
BAD: Tales of Souls Mode (Story Mode) has an unbalanced difficulty. At first you blow through fights too easily, then you get slapped in the face with a series of insanely hard fights, which may turn away newcomers. | | Charater Creation isn't detailed enough. | | Standard VS matches can only be done in two player. | | Certain missions will drive you insane. For example, there is a game where you must kill the three store workers in the time limit. They run away and decrease time faster by taunting.
OVERALL: Soul Calibur III is a great game for anybody who loves fighting games. But rookies better beware of some modes and their insane difficulty.
