I have never played any of the Soul Calibur's after playing this one it doesn't match up to Mortal Kombat Deception.

I would definitely have to say you should rent this game first or buy it from a store where you can take it back within 7 days like a Rhino Video Game store. I just couldn't really get into it. I would have to say this game was well made and really went in deep. And i liked that the characters had different weapons you could unlock and costumes changes. And the create a character was the coolest thing i thought. But all in all this game just didn't really meet up to the expectations i was hearing. Its a little weird at first with the controls to do combos. We just pushed buttons. I myself just didnt like how small each level was and the gameplay just really doesn't compare to any of the mortal combats. Just save yourself the frustration and get Mortal Kombat Deception or Dead or Alive 4 because the trailer i saw looks pretty sweet.
