Way to focused on Defense..Not cool at all.
In SCIV you are given the same old basic plot about two evil swords and vice versa. Cut scenes are given to you once you finish the story mode but the cut scenes aren't anything near as good or impressive as the cut scenes seen in most Tekken games. SCIV crams a cheap battle system into this game and yet somehow manages to sell it well. Mainly because everyone likes to play online no matter how sh*tty a game is.
Even though you can create a ton of your own characters in SCIV, you'll less than likely play with the real characters since you can obviously use their weapons and make a character of your own three times stronger than the originals. Skill elements in the game play a big role into winning battles. Though they make things awfully cheap for the CPU in The Tower Of Souls. There is a hidden skill ranked at "S" which only the CPU can have equipped. S ranked skills make it impossible to block, grab, ring out, or in most cases land a single strike upon your opponent which means if they have "S rank" counter impact added onto them. Trying to strike will end up resulting in the CPU auto countering you to death. This takes the fun out of the game and not only makes it complicated. But a pain in the ass to even care.
The boss himself is not all that difficult compared to the characters in the Tower of souls. Allot of things in SCIV didn't make it into the game or was never intended. Either way, I find challenges in fighting games to be boring ways to unlock the goods. SCIV is definately one of my most hated fighting games I have. Whenever I look at the CD case I feel like bashing it into the persons face who was responsible for creating such a bad game.
This one goes into the Games of Trash List.
