The original Soul caliber was a ground breaking game. It was the sequel to the game Soul Edge which was the first game to be a fighter where all the characters had weapons. It has an in depth fighting system that rivals Virtua Fighter in many ways. The game has a standard affair of game modes Arcade, Time attack, Team Battle, Survival and Extra Survival (which is survival but if you get once its instant death) Museum mode which allows you to view all of the art. My problem with the game are that the orginal Dreamcast version still has stuff this version does not. It's missing Mission mode which where you would spend most of your time in the game. Not only that all of the characters are available from the start which may not be bad but it gives you almost nothing to look forward to. You would think this game would have Online as well for the fact its on XBLA but I guess they wanted to leave the game the same but give us leader boards and achievements. All in all its still a great game and the game pay is still the same just missing Mission mode.
