a good stratergy game with a few flaws and can be built on to make a better game that will last. the game runs smooth and you dont need an A-spec pc to run it as its quite old, it isn't too difficult to get the grip of either there is about 20 or so maps you can play and a difficulty setting if you find it too hard on normal. you can choose what civilisation you are although it doesn't change a great deal everything looks the same you just cant be build certain buildings or create certain types of units. spartan is for a dedicated fan and takes time to get into so an easy going gamer might get bored quite easily the final campaign it will last you weeks to finish it off. all in all worth a look at at least, but dont expect this game to be like age of empires as you only control what you build in cities, dont expect the quality from a civ game either
