This review is for the Boss mode only since that is the only mode I could play on the singleplayer standalone kiosk...

User Rating: 5.5 | Spawn: In the Demon's Hand ARC
It should be noted that originally the arcade version I played of Spawn in the Demon's Hand was but one of 4 kiosks for a multi-player game.

So I'm taking away a point for each of the player kiosks missing from my experience and thus the modes associated with those as well which were still oddly enough present in the single-player kiosk but unselectable.

I'm also taking away a point for the play control. They aren't as tight as they should have been.

The joystick movement in particular was wonky. It should not be that hard to move your character around. I think the block functionality may be partially to blame for this.

The button mashing is fine though some combos and movements like the cape glide have questionable usability. The cape glide in particular didn't really seem to function all that well.

Still the graphics are great with very few exceptions like the blacked out doorways that oddly enough are solid black when they should be transparent shadows that allow you to see through the other side.

If you're a spawn fan you'll love how you can choose to either send out spawns chains at the latest boss or switch to using whatever gun he has currently equipped or switch to tossing grenades or switch to punching.

And the boss sensor helps with keeping track of them.

I finished this game using a continue or two. But its not really one of those games where you get bragging rights for finishing it.

It would have been better if they kept the social aspect of the all inclusive multi-player kiosks. In stripping it down to a bare-bones single-player component they did it no justice.

It does not really take that long to finish Boss mode you could do it in a couple hours or less. As such I'm giving the fraction of the game that was left a score relative to what's present it should be lower cause its not a full game without those other kiosks since again those other modes are not selectable. I'm giving it a 5.5 out of 10.
