Another cheap binned shooter....... Wait what?!
The shooting, covering went on for about 3 hours..... UNTIL
I was faced with an incredible plot twist. And than I had realised that I was not playing the typical modern military shooter, I was immersed with something far darker and deeper than I had bargined for. Essentially, I was faced with conflict that the game made me do, but at worse, I felt terrible for the game making me do them.
Being in that situation, I came to realise, that I was actually scared to finish this game, but I could not just stop, because people have actually died, both soliders and innocent civilians. However, after a tear shed, and coming to the final credits of the game, I realised that this has been the modern shooting game I have been waiting for my whole life. The kind of shooting game I never wanted to play, because it made me feel like crap for killing. And it was all done by a game that I picked up in the Wal-Mart cheap bin for almost $20 bucks.
Truthfully I can see why this game got bad reviews. The game isn't really fun, but I felt that was the point of the game. The games mechanics actually worked to reinforce the games narrative. And it was rather mindblowing. After playing Spec Ops: The Line... I honestly don't think I will be able to play through an other mindless military shooting game, or a higher budget one to be honest. Spec Op: The Line is a very special game. And I will be honest I kind of wish this game was a little bit bigger, because I would have loved to hear other peoples opinions on this game.
