Free, fun and an experience that makes it so much more than the sum of its parts.
You take on the role of an elder looking back on his life and telling a young woman about his experiences. As the player, you venture through the years as this character and go through his memories, reliving the moment in a simple mini-game that grows to be much deeper. There are several different endings that you can obtain by following a laid out path of bright memories, these endings become the story your character shares. Beyond just completing these mini-games, failing them changes the outlook the character has on that memory and effects the story as much as passing the challenge.
The graphics are whimsical and simple with amazing dark and light emphasis. The sound is also extremely appropriate and atmospheric, I'd give examples but I really think you should just go and try this game for yourself. The voice acting is nothing special, but still very good and far from monotone or tiring.
In short, "Spectre" is a simple game that if you let it can be a truly deep experience, it is definitely more than the sum of its parts. It's also free, you have no excuse not to, go play this game today!
