The story begins as Sphinx is set out to go on a important mission along with his rival Horus to recover a anicent sword that once belonged to the Great God of Light as he is able to find it but gets into trouble as Horus dissappears and that the item that he needs to return back to the temple is lost but he does find a portal key that helps him to get to a place where he discovers that a young Prince is being turned into a lifeless Mummy by some creepy people as most of his spirit energy is leaving his body Sphinx stops the ritual as with a giant blast of light the people disappear along with the mummy just as this is a big clue that there is a great evil coming across the land so now it's up to the young demi demon and his Mummy friend who is revived thanks to the vases that Sphinx finds that he send with the help of a magicial creature named Bas-Ket as they must work together to put a stop to the God of Darkness known as Set and his evil ways in the biggest adventure of their lives or in some chances afterlifes.
From when you first begin to play through the game you will be amazed at how great the grapics are in the lands that both of the main characters get to explore while at the same time meeting with lots of colorful and beautifully done characters as a few of them are based among some of the amazing creatures that really live within the land in the real world while others were created based on anicent artifacts that the Egyptians believed to be gods or something like that I think but they are still interesting.
There is a really big difference between the two characters that you will notice as you continue your quest as Sphinx is the adventurer type as he gets to do alot more like taking on dangerous bosses , fighting some cool monsters or in some chances capture them for certain reasons ,
take on challenging mini games and many more stuff while his buddy the Mummy which he gets to do includes solving puzzles to complete tasks within the Castle of Uruk that he is trapped in to collect items that Sphinx needs to help him on his missions and this is the coolest part about
playing as the Mummy as no matter how hard you try he cannot die since he's already dead in the first place but on the bright side you get to set him on fire , flatten him like a pancake or even slash him into three mummies to help make tasks easy when you have three mummies to work with.
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is a very beautifully and amazing game that will pull you into it's amazing world with it's great storyline and much more so next time you go to a store and maybe see a copy of this game then be sure to give it a try as it is something you will have to witness for yourself but if you ask me it is worth your money to play.
