This game really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. It's actually a great timekiller.

User Rating: 6.5 | Spider-Man 2: The Game PC
Alright, you know the story. Spider Man 2 was released for several systems, and for some reason the PC version is different than the console versions. Well, I remember I was around 8 years old, and I bought this game for the computer. I had never played the console versions so I wasn't really expecting that. Well, when I played the game, I liked it, and the only reason I stopped playing it for the longest time was because I got stuck and couldn't figure out what to do at some point or another. Well, I recently found the CD and decided to play it again. And you know what? I still like it. And now that I've beaten it I'll review it.

Story: Loosley resembles the movie's story(i haven't watch the movie in a long time, though) but it feels kinda rushed. Basically, you fight Doc Ock's huge band of Goonies until you find Mary Jane at the end where your identity is STILL not revealed to her. Overall: 5.5/10

Gameplay: Well the gameplay consists of only using your mouse buttons and WASD to move, along with spacebar to dodge which is vital during the Puma fight. The right mouse button jumps while the left mouse button either Swings, Attacks, Webs, Zips, or Shoots depending on what the cursor is pointing at. And for some reason to swing you must swing off these floating Web thingys(?). The bosses each have a diagram telling you how to beat them, and the thugs are really easy. You fight Rhino twice, Doc Ock twice, Puma once and Mysterio once. I have to say there are some pretty funny glitches that make the game that much more enjoyable to play. Overall, its simple, but effective: 7.75/10

Graphics: Well, they're not that bad; I've played games with much worse. Play Star Wars the Phantom Menace for PS1 or PC. It's fun, but it is my definition for bad graphics. Spidey is detailed all right, and the Mysterio place looks really cool. Doc Ock is detailed all right as well and the generic civilians are, well, generic. Overall: 7/10

Sound: Not horribly bad or awsomely good. It's just sound. But I have to say Toby's line delivery is pretty laughable. Overall: 5/10

And one more thing: after you install it you don't need the CD to play, meaning REALLY short loading times. That's a plus.

My overall score: 6.5/10. If you happen to own it, pick it up and play it if you're willing to kill some time. It's pretty fun.
