You'll feel like a Superhero... GUARANTEED!!

Spiderman 2 is one of the few games based on a superhero film that actually makes you FEEL like a superhero. This is not just any third-person game like Fantastic 4, but you feel superior to those little people that are so far below you (when web-swinging of course). Speaking of web-swinging, it happens to be one of the most exhilarating surprises you could fing in a licensed game like this.

The NPC Models are quite dissappointing, but the virtual Manhattan the game is set in is one of the most gorgeous, detailed game worlds I have ever seen. And I have played The Simpsons: Hit and Run, Grand Theft Auto and many others. It truly is stunning.

The missions are broken up into three different catergories. Petty crimes (purple on the map) are very easy crimes to deal with, the more serious crimes (green) usually involve taking on gunmen, and the Story missions (White or Yellow) help you progress in the game. And tell you what, taking on Doc-Ock has never been so fun. The story missions are very good fun, and progress always entices you to play more. The serious crimes are cool as well, and the petty crimes serve only as a distraction.

It is a fairly easy game, but the difficulty level increases as the game gets near the end.
It is not a perfect game, because no matter what you believe, the game is fairly linear, despite the major city to explore. The NPC models are average, but you will find a gem of a game if you buy this. At the time of writing this, two fairly bad licensed games have come out. Batman Begins could have been better, while I believe the other, The Fantastic 4, has a bit of potential and needs another devloper. And I believe that the movie this game is based on (Spiderman 2: THE MOVIE) is a great film and that is captured in its' game. Didn't Activision read the book on how to make movie to game conversions? I guess not.
