I am not going to repeat much of what gamespot has already said, as you should have read their review first, as it is most valid. Spiderman 2 Gets a 10 out of 10 in improvement from the original. However, that doesn’t mean it gets a 10 as a game itself. The graphics could be better, however, making them better would make it so the city would either be laggy ir have loading screens. You see some lazy blocks hear and their, but for the most part it is fine. As mentioned in gamespot’s review, the sound is... acceptable but not impressive. When a little person loses their balloon, the crying goes straight through me....but then again that’s just me. In all seriousness the music is lacking and seemingly recycled from the last game. To hurt the sound further, you will find yourself in car chase missions when you hear the pedestrians say the same thing over and over again in the same voice. The fighting style is easy with one button, however, you can use various web attacks that combine different ways of swinging and yanking the baddys towards you. The boss fights can be laughable at times, and there isn’t much challenge in the overall game. It would have been nice to have been able to turn up the difficulty a few notches. There are some interesting goodies in Spiderman 2, consisting of The twin tower memorial (Remember the two beams of light?) and swinging your way to the statue of liberty. However the best thing in the game is the more complicated, but rewarding, swinging control. Once you get the knack for it, swinging is the most fun the game has to offer really, overlooking a few fighting combos. The game is short, but has a lot of things you can work for (awards) after it is done. It is up to you. If you want to rent it, you will finish the game, but buy it if you are the kind of person who likes killing time without purpose. (That’s not sarcastic. If you went back on GTA to kill people and drive around, you were killing time as well, You know what I am talking about)It’s a pretty good game, but shows room for improvement.
