This is my review of Spider-Man 2 for the Xbox

Here are my thoughts on Spider-Man 2 for the Xbox.

First off, the gameplay. The game already had a huge advantage over the first one with more free-roaming abilities. That is always a bonus, but not the best. When it came to playing the story it was sort of neat to see some extra characters that weren't in the movie. It was also nice to go through all of these events kinda, all of the sudden. You could be swinging around and then you have to go visit some building and then you're suddenly dragged into a whole mission.

Besides the main story it's kind of fun to mess around but that doesn't stay entertaining for too long. In order to get along to the next chapter, most of the time you're going to have to collect hero points. This is where it gets too repetetive. All of the little side missions for hero points are always the same, whether it be catching a falling person, rushing to the hospital, or stopping a robbery. Basically you feel like you're not really doing a whole lot different stuff throughout the game.

The graphics and sound rate a good mediocre Xbox game, but then there aren't many that would pass mediocre on the Xbox. When it comes to value, I would give it a good game to rent. The game is kinda short and doesn't have much of a replay value. Overall, it is still a fun game to play though.
