Spiderman for the Dreamcast is an awesome game for newcomers who want to experience how it feels to play as spiderman. The gameplay is pretty good. It plays like a standard 3D beat em up except with a variety of web powers. The game allows you to cover the enemy in webs, shoot impact web, make web fists, pull the enemy in different directions, and make a web dome that blows up. The swinging is pretty basic, all you do is pull the right trigger and the game automatically swings to the closest building you're facing for you. The mission objectives are pretty basic: defeat all enemies in the room, chase, escape, or rescue, and also boss battles. The boss battles are relatively easy, for a gamer. The graphics are good for it's time and allows you to move about freely in the level with no load times and travel seamlessly from place to place. The audio is pretty good with the web sounds and punch sounds, The game includes the spiderman theme.
Overall, if you only own a Dreamcast, then you can get this game. Otherwise, if you have current-generation systems like a xbox or ps2, there are better spiderman games out there like spiderman 2 or spiderman:the movie.
