With Spider Man 3 out you would think a step forward in the series, ultimatley it turns out as a big step sideways

Sice the first two movie spider man games were a little under par, we all thought there would be a big change in the series. That certinatley didn't happen. First of all the gameplay is hasn't changed that much from spider -man 2. The fighting is the same button mashing system from last year. They have added this new counter button that makes everything slow down and you can counter attacks quicker. This gets real old real fast. Swinging is pretty much the same from the last game, but thought it was a bit more sloppier. The graphics are the games strongest point in the game. They are so crisp and clear and you can see every detail. The one improvement from last year was the termination on of the hero points system. Those challenges in the old game got really repetitive, it was a good thing that they didn't put that in the game. The voice acting is also great. all of the characters sound like them selve in real life. Except for Kirsten Dunst. Over all the game wasn't really good. It was a small improvement over Spider -Man 2. I don't think you should spend $60.00 on this game unless you are a diehard Spider-Man fan that needs everything Spider-Man. If you are looking for a somewhat fun action adventure platformer, spider man is a great game for the weekend.
