Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions is a fast paced and very great superhero action adventure game.
There are four Spider-Men and they are all great to play as. They all must hunt down the shards of the Tablet of Order and Chaos for Madame Web. They must find them before the arch villian Mysterio finds them. The four Spider-men in each of their own respective dimensions must battle and defeat all the super villains who hold the missing shards and these twelve super villains make for some great and exciting boss fights. Counting Mysterio there are thirteen bosses in this very great Spider-Man Adventure and you fight all of them multiple times, so there are a ton of brilliant boss battles.
The four Spider-Men in Shattered Dimensions are: (1) The Amazing Spider-Man who has the usual fast paced combat with his usual punches and kicks. This dimension and Spider-Man has a great comic book look and feel.
(2) Noir Spider-Man who uses stealth to take out his mobster foes and this dimension has a great old school look and the combat is a nice change and a cool addition to a Spider-Man game.
(3) Spider-Man 2099 which takes place in the far future and of course has an awesome futuristic look to the graphics and the combat is very fast paced and explosive. This was my Favourite Spider-Man to play as and I would love for Beenox to make a great Spider-Man 2099 game in the future. In this 2099 dimension Spider-Man, the city, vehicles, buildings, enemies, and the bosses all look super cool and amazing. I love the look and feel of this brilliant dimension. This Spider-Man can slow down time and use this ability to quickly dispatch his enemies. There are free falling segments and the combat in these parts are a rush and a blast. This dimension has the coolest and best looking Spider-Man.
(4) Ultimate Spider-Man in his simbiote suit and he uses his tendrils to quickly take care of his many foes. He also has a rage meter and when it is full he can unleash his powerful rage to destroy his enemies. This was the second best Spider-Man in this game and the best level in the game involves this deadly Spider-Man.
Overall the four Spider-men and their dimensions are greatly represented and are all very fun to play as.
The game play is paced perfectly and is very great. There are a good variety of regular enemies and as I said there are thirteen bosses to battle.
The graphics are varied in each dimension and all four Spider-Men look superb. The graphics over all look very great.
The combat is very fun and explosive. Each Spiderman has superb and powerful combat moves. There is good variety to the combat and with the addition of stealth combat in the Noir Spider-Man universe it adds a much needed change for Spider-Man games. The first person combat parts, the free falling Spider- Man 2099 comat segments, his time slowing combat, and Ultimate Spider- Man's rage combat all add very good variety to this spectacular Spidey adventure.
The Controlls are great over all, but the wall crawling and the camera can be a problem at times. The Story is average at best, but the Presentation is great, as the cut scenes look and sound great. Replay value is great for this game, as it is fun to replay your favourite missions and there are 180 challenges to try and complete after you finish the story campaigne. These challenges are very addictive to try and complete. The boss fights are incredible and there are lots of them. The regular enemies are varied and very fun to take out Spider-Man style. There are a ton of collectables to collect in each level and they add to your play through. The levels are greatly designed and all of them look amazing. The voice acting is excellent, the music is very good, and the sound effects are sharp. The over all sound design is great. You truly feel like all four Spider-Men in this game! Also the upgrade system is top notch, as it is very fun to upgrade Spider-man's combat moves, abilities, and health. Also can unlock varoius Spider-Man suits, which adds even more replayability.
However the missions/levels all play out the same way and this makes them and the over all game play repetitive, but all the levels/missions are great fun and are a blast to play through. You truly feel like a powerful superhero in Shattered Dimensions. Luckily enough the mission objectives are varied enough to keep things fresh. Rescuing, escorting, and protecting the people in this game is very fun and that's what a true comic book superhero does. Its not just about beating up the bad guys and the super villains. Its about being a true hero and Shattered Dimensions certainly allows you to be a great superhero. Its awesome to be Spider-Man!

So over all I rate this very great Spider-Man adventure 8.5 out of 10. This is the best Spidey game thus far and hopefully they will make an even better sequel.
