The Good vs Bad when it comes down to Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.
The Good:
+Graphics: This game has some of the best graphics I have ever seen, mostly because there are 4 different art-styles that are displayed in-game. For each Spiderman there is a different view of the world and different style of graphics from what looks a lot like; a high-def comic style to a futuristic, shiny, and sharp style (though the appearance of the worlds for the Amazing Spiderman and Ultimate Spiderman seem just about the same).
+Sound: There isn't much that could be said about the sound in this game, but the voice-acting is great. I'm not much of a comic-book kind of guy and have only heard The Amazing and Ultimate Spiderman in film and cartoons, so I can't quite compare 2099 and Noir to others. There is also a pretty good score.
+ Gameplay: As I've said in the intro, there isn't much that has changed from this game and the many other Spiderman games. However, what has changed seems to be a series of things that could only be done in Shattered Dimensions. For example, the ability to play some scenes as Spidey in first-person and the fact that you can play as 4 different Spidermen.
+ Replay Value: Though this game is mostly just another Spiderman beat 'em up game, there is a lot more replay value than most other Spiderman titles. This is mostly because of the addition of challenges and character leveling. There is also the ability to select stages (which are all based on one Spideys major enemies) so you don't have to play the whole game from start to finish and can choose the order of how you play.
The Bad:
-Sound: The fact that Spiderman repeats what he says like a broken record gets a tad bit annoying, and it happens really quickly. Personally, the best kind of protagonist is the strong silent type, unless they have more things to say or at least know how to space out such similar things.
- Gameplay: Shattered Dimensions seems like a pretty cool game when you play it at first, but after you finish the first level and begin the second, there's already a feeling of intense repetition. The combat really doesn't change much and overall the game feels a tad bit too easy throughout.
Overall, Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions may not be the best Spiderman game, but it's alright and is at least worth a rent (unless of course you are a Spiderman fan). This game gets an 8.0 from me.
