First I'll state the pros of this game. It started ambitiously with an excellent plot and interesting formula, combining multiple types of spidermen into one game. That's a fantastic idea because theres so much potential in exploration in each series. Though some may argue Ultimate and Amazing spiderman are too similar, I thought it was a pretty even distribution. (My favorite was Noir) The visuals were beautiful, each with concise differences. Amazing's graphics looked very Borderlandish, Noir was very mobster and realistic, 2099 was very electrifying and sharp, and Ultimate was comicy. The level to level plot was very interesting too. Recent superhero games emphasize too much and sandbox, so this was a nice return to the traditional level to level gameplay. The line of bosses were also very well selected. Less known villans and alternate versions made their appearances instead of the usual lineup such as Rhino and Shocker. However, the pros end here.

The biggest problem I had with this game was irresponsive controls. Whenever you were required to grab a barrel or object to throw at your opponent, despite standing right next to the thing while the opponent is a mile away, you would grapple on to the villan first and get whipped. Web slinging looked unnatural and very slow. When you clicked websling, it takes about 1 or 2 seconds to respond, which sometimes can be very upsetting since action is very fast pace. Another big issue was repeition. Within the first 1/3 of the game, you feel like you have all the levels figured out. Enter level, fight cronies, fight boss, fight cronies, fight cronies, fight boss again, end level. Basically, that is the formula for every level. The boss fights are also tedious. They're designed for trail and error, meaning by the time you figured out how to beat him, this game had lost all its flavors. More than skill, fighting bosses depends more on just knowing how to finish it. In general, all of them follow this formula: Dodge string of attacks, punch him thrice, dodge new string of attacks, punch him twice, dodge another new string of cheap attacks, punch him once. The levels got very boring too. At first, the visiuals were very enticing because of first exposure, but later towards the middle and end, it felt as if the developers got tired themself. In the Deadpool level, you would spend half an hour on one tanker to search and destroy about 30 cameras, only to find that the other half hour is to be spent on another oil tanker doing the exact same thing. Towards the end of the game, you start playing a lot of "caged matches"too. It's when they lock you up in an area and make you defeat waves of enemies. Seriously? That should be a bonus feature, not a level. These are the major contributors in ruining my experience, accompanied by many other minor issues. I'll give a list of pros and cons below. (Btw, I spent over 10 hours on gameplay because of playing hardmode on the first run.)

Pros:
-Vibrant visuals
-Multiple Spidermen with different styles
-Engrossing leveling system
-Flashy cutscenes
-Nice line of villans
-Lots of replay value if you want to achieve platinum

Cons:
-Unresposive controls
-EXTREME REPETITION (Both in Boss Battles, Cronies, and Level Design)
-Predictible, boring plot
-Very, very, annoying one liners that never stop coming.
-Worst camera ever. (Who needs to look up when they're climbing on the ceiling?)
-Achievements force you to play each level on hard mode at least 2 more times.

All in all, this game is not rewarding at all. Problems in level design are everywhere. There were also many times in the game where it would freeze and I'd have to spend another half hour getting to where I was at before. If you really want to play it, I suggest do an easy mode run, don't collect anything, and then see if you're still up to playing hard mode.
