This is by FAR the best Spidey game EVER, and one of the best Ps3 titles to date!

I finally got my hands on this game after nearly a year or so since it's release. Since I first laid eyes on it during its development, I was hooked. I ended up playing the demo the moment it came out, and it was already one of my favorite Ps3 games. I just beat the game tonight, and I must say -- it's truly astonishing how great this game is.

Now, before I go further into detail on the upside to this game, allow me to reveal the drawbacks. Great game, yes -- however, Spidey's voice is a bit too nerdy. Like, he sounds like a small, immature child before puberty. He needs the voice he had in the 90s cartoon. That was perfect. Also, the glitches in this game stand out as bothersome more than anything else. Sometimes the game just freezes during an attack, or it'll freeze during a loadup, and you'll end up losuing your spot in the game. Lastly, they "still" should have incorporated alternate costumes in this game.

The second time around would have a higher replay value. And some scenarios, such as the Rykers breakout -- the end of that scene should have made more sense. How did EVERYONE happen to show up at the same time during a jail break, but arrive separately? Not logical enough. Oh, and before I end this part, the conversations on the phone via cutscenes are strange. It's like Parker isn't directly speaking with MJ. And Parker is a genius. So why didn't they have him do scientific stuff? Ah, well...

The fighting engine stands out more than most of the game. Never have I encountered such an in-dept fighting system that has such amazing attack styles and techniques. It's like watching Spider-Man 2. Each move displayed is awe-inspiring and jaw-dropping. THIS is how you play a true Spidey movie. How part 3 should have been.

The choices you are forced to make in this game very well illustrates a perfect attempt at a more reality-based plot that directly allows you to dictate how the path of the story flows. I ended up picking pretty much all the negative choices, and I just flipped at how extreme Parker got at his evil side. Beyond the movie, the comics and the old 90s cartoon. It defies Marvel Comics laws and puts Spidey on another scale -- something even greater than an average villain -- further than a super villain -- a mega villain, a ruler of symbiotes!

No one could have seen this coming. The story was so original and well-planned out, and the transformation of the world is reflected throughout each mission, gradually revealing more of the big atom bomb of the plot. I absolutely loved it. The epic sky battles were the best I've ever seen in a game.

The repetitiveness is low, and the moves you upgrade through just get better and better. The fighting difficulty of the game is just perfect. Enough to get your blood rushing, but not to throw your 50 dollar controller on the floor. This game is definitely worth the buy, and deserves any reward possibly coming to it. Two thumbs way up!
