If you have arachnophobia, you will easily get over it once you play this game. Okay, I lied about that part. But you will still be able to play this game (hopefully) because you know that the spider is not real and it is just a game, and that should be no excuse for you not to download this brilliant app. You are a spider, and you simply go around and spin from circle to circle in two worlds that both have about 25 levels or so, a total of about 50 levels, and you try not to touch any enemies or obstacles along the way that lie waiting for you in the paths to follow and discover. That's it. The concept is so simple, yet the gameplay is so addictive and challenging that you will want to play through it all in one sitting. It should take you no longer than two to three hours. It can really get hard and to the point where it builds frustration on you, but not too much compared to other games. So it is worth it.

This is a taste of the kind of games I play online on free online game websites such as Addictingames or Flasharcade or those websites. But the thing is, there are not many games like that on the web. So I am overjoyed that the iPod Touch has more of this kind of stuff to offer that would have made a great casual online game. This one is so easy to pick up and play, yet not so much on the friendly side when trying to master and beat. It's classic spinning action that is loaded full of undeniable charm that makes way for a pleasing and satisfying experience that will certainly be a memorable one.

You do the same thing over and over again, but it never gets old or tiresome because although it is repetitive, the backgrounds and placement of the circles, enemies, and obstacles change in every level in a way that attracts your eyes and fingers almost like your iPod screen is controlling them and will not allow them to turn anywhere else. The game is that awesome. The graphics and visuals are an artistic delight and could not be better in any way shape or form. I forgot about the sound because as usual, I get so caught up in gameplay that I don't pay attention to it, and also the fact that it's been awhile since I've played the game.

The physics behind the game is actually identifiable unlike other games where it's all about continuous trial and error because of the hidden physics behind them. In this one, it doesn't take a smart brain or expert to figure it out. As soon as you learn the right way to play and the directions of which the spider goes, the game becomes nothing but cake. Okay, maybe not cake, but close. I will just go ahead and tell you right now since it is better off that way. If you release the spider from a circle while it is on the left side of it, the spider will go up. If you release him on the right side of a circle, he will go down. If you release him on the bottom side of a circle, he will go left. If you release him on the top side of a circle, he will go right. There you have it. It's that simple to understand and get the hang of. It can be hard to remember at times and this can throw you off and this can sometimes cause an unwanted fall or death every here and there, but it does not happen very often.

If you are looking for a simple but addictive, challenging, and charming casual game, then Spidey Riley will most likely suit your desire. If you are more of a hardcore person, look elsewhere.
