All right, so this isn't Halo or anything. But, it is a form of Streets of Rage (which has been my favorite game for as long as I could remember) and I don't understand why it got so low of a score. It is difficult, and fun all at the same time. Sure, all it is is mindless button mashing, but that is what Beat 'Em ups generally are. And, in today's gaming society, I am so tired of always being the hero who survived some Holocaust or another and the only one that can save the world. The story is light, but the action is heavy. In today's games, the stories are often always over the top. I am not trying to watch a movie, I cam trying to play a game.
The graphics are not the best, but they get the job done.
The soundtrack is like any other beat 'em up, littered heavy with Techno beats and porn-like guitar solos.
Game play is easy, and there are many combos you can pull off as long as you tweak the controller configuration. And the unlockables (stages, fighters) are a plenty, and hard to obtain as well.
All in all, this game is a great nod to retro greatness. If you enjoyed Streets of Rage, there is no reason not to enjoy this instant classic!
