Now this is good but how did it make conflict with parents about it being "too gory" or whatever.
graphics - They look great even though they look nowhere near as good as the arcade. How is that possible you ask, I mean it's a 16 bit machine why do the graphics lake arcade perfection? That's because the TG16 is not a true 16 bit machine.
sound - The music is eerie and you might catch yourself humming the tunes after extensive play. The only real sound effect missing is the baseball bat hitting the ball when you knock off a monsters head with a cleaver.
gameplay - Now this was left untouched when they ported it over from the arcade to the TG16. The game is still a 2D side scroller with you picking up weapons and using them to bash in the skulls of the creatures that stand between you and your love
story - (this is new to my reviews) you and your girlfriend go to a house to escape the rain and meet up with an old friend (supposedly a friend) but they are knocked unconscious with the girl (Jeniffer) being taken with rick (you) being left to die only to be saved by an evil mask. (that's all the story we get.)
final feelings - a great port of one of the best arcade games ever. The only thing making this port anything else but perfect would have to be the US only censorship.
foot notes: unlike the later games this port and possibly the arcade games can be beaten (somewhat easily) by casual gamers.
