I think this game can be summed up in just a few words... challenging, humorous and odd. Don't get me wrong i had a great time playing the game. ha. It's got great customization as far as your character goes, from eyes, mouth, head, body type, legs, tails, spikes for your back, and arms... which are all different and all have different things that can help you through the levels.

Some such as, legs that help you walk through deep water, legs that help you get threw thorns and quick sand. Without getting those and equiping them on your creature, you won't be able to progress through the game.

You have the ability to make friends with other creatures throughout your quests as well as make enemies with them and kill the packs to get nests where you can spawn from and to. Or make friends to get the nests and share.

If you are in an area with wi-fi and have a friend you can share your creature via the ds sharing system and show off your interesting looking pet.

You have the ability to either use the sylus throughout the entire thing or you can use the d-pad to help your character along, i found certin parts were easier useing the sylus, such as a racing quest, and others, such as just moving about in the world and exploring, was easier just using the d-pad.

Throughout the game while you explore you can collect body parts that are hidden by digging or defeating other creatures around you, you can also find intelligence points which help you progress to the next leveland raise your body, life and energy points.

It also somewhat has an xbox achievment system in this game where the more things you do and get, or if you get 10planet tokens on the planet that you are on you get a 'badge' also, if you simply do certain things, and some things are secret and hidden (the only way you'll get the badge or know that it's even worth a badge is if you mess around with certain things such as befriending, killing, digging and throwing) you will get specific badges.

You must feed your creature also, from battles you'll lose health, you can give food to your friends also, which they will enjoy and think more highly of you.

This game is for all ages and rightfully so, it's funny and entertaining, very interesting... i couldn't put it down till it was beat. It's not ungodly long where it drags out but it's not boringly short and they type of game you could play and play over and over again just to be able to create the different types of creatures.
