Spore

Spore is a great game, hands down. The Mac version takes a little tweaking, however, to ensure it's in working order...

Spore is an easy game, but by no means boring. You may get straight along to the Space stage in only a few sittings, yet you'll find a massive galaxy with vast expanses of stars available to explore. It is essentially the ultimate God-game; you create a space-faring civilization from a single cell. The possibilities are beyond number, and you'll most likely spend nearly half of your play time in the creators; I've personally spent most of my game time in the UFO creator and continue to do so.

In the Mac version it is important to avoid updates as they will cause your game to quit during initial loading, or crash during gameplay. Otherwise it is the same game on the PC, and there should be no reason for Mac-users to avoid it.

Maybe hardcore gamers and unimaginative people won't like this game, but for anyone else with a computer, Spore is an essential part of any computer game collection. All in all, I applaud Maxis on another innovative, and awesome game.
