Galactic Adventures adds a tremendously rich and entertaining new layer to the Spore game.

Galactic Adventures is a fantastic addition to the Spore game. The game enables you to visit "adventure" planets in space stage, where you are beamed down to the surface to engage in adventures. Some of the adventures you play are Maxis-made, while many others were designed by other players. As you play, you win points that get you promoted to higher ranks (and allow you to access various accessories, such as lazers and jet packs, that you can add to your creature). The adventures are fantastic fun, and make a staggering improvement to the space stage part of the game. The quality of individual missions does admittedly vary, but you can quit out of a mission at any time and delete it from your game, and there are endless other missions to download and play.

Playing missions is only half of the fun of the game. The expansion also provides a powerful new adventure creator tool. It's a complex tool that can seem a bit daunting at first, but after a bit of practice (and some helpful tutorials) you get the hang of adventure creation. Making adventures with your creatures is a blast. As far as enhanced gameplay is concerned, I'd say that this is by far the best expansion Maxis and EA have come out with for any of their games.
