As the first incarnation of the new age of motion gaming, this title soars.
Who cares?
Sports Champions is fun, challenging, lends itself to social gaming, and showcases the hardware superbly. Each sport offered uses the Move in a different way. The 1-to-1 tracking of the controller forces the user to think about the angle of their paddle or disc, the spin and release of their bocce, and so on. Get a gang together and utilize the multi-player capability for loads of fun.
Of course, no game is without its flaws. Recalibrating everytime you switch games can be a pain, especially if playing for multiple friends. The accuracy of the remote can make for a steep learning curve. Players used to swinging a ping pong paddle or throwing a Frisbee willy-nilly will have to adjust their game to get anything out of the Move.
It's probably not the most fun game that will come out for the Move (it is the first after all). However, from a marketing standpoint, it's a great deal in a bundle. At long last, the next generation of motion gaming is at hand. Get your feet wet on this engrossing sports package.
