This game is a neat little game. I just can't undestand why Gamespot gave this game such a bad rating!

Okay, when you first think of a game based off a comic/movie/tv show or whatever, the first thing that will pop into your mind is, "It will stink, I'm not even going to bother". But let me tell you something,Spy Vs Spy is a neat little game based off the comic strip of the same name. And while the game is not as awesome as the comic, it is still worth a play. There are four modes in the game, The Story Mode, The Classic Mode, The Multiplayer Mode, and the Modern Mode. The Story Mode is very basic, it has you taking either control of the black,or white spy and you'll need to perform a handful of missions before you can leave the area. The missions are very straightfoward, like "Trap The Safes" or "Find A Device". They may seem easy, but you have some enemy characters against you, and from time to time the other spy will be out in the area to try and kill you. I'm going to be honest here, you may or may not have fun with story mode. If you aren't easy to please, like the Gamespot Reviewer who gave this game a 4.3/10, you will hate this mode. But if you can have fun with something small, like me, you'll like this mode. Casual gamers may find story mode to be fun. Classic Mode is a 3D version of the classic NES "Spy vs Spy". In this mode, you'll go through buildings looking around for four secret items. Once you have these items, you may escape through the elevator. To find the items, you'll have to go through the different rooms and open up stuff that would be an obvious hiding spot for secrets. But be careful, the other spy will be looking for these items too. And they can be annoying when you're trying to avoid him. The other spy's AI is decent, and he can be a pain. But he is very foolish and will fall into traps easily. I guess Classic Mode is OK..........., but it's not the game's best mode. Multiplayer Mode is very cool, and it's my personal favorite mode. You can play with three AI oppenents and can do Deathmatches and all sorts of stuff. The fun part here is that you can plot all sorts of devious traips for the enemies to fall into. It's loads of fun trying to set up something good for the AI to fall into. But I will tell you one thing, you'll definetly need to use your brain in order to get something going. In the Multiplayer Mode, you also have a full arsenal of the weapons and tricky items from Story and Classic mode. I won't spoil what types of weapons you get, but the arsenal is big enough for people to enjoy. Multiplayer Mode is a mode you'll just need to experience on your own to find greatness. And did I mention you could tweak the AI to make them more sneekier and tougher to take down? I'm not going too in-depth with Modern Mode. It's just like Classic Mode in the Story Mode and Multiplayer Areas. You'll need to find four secret items before the AI kills you off. It's a good mode, but it definetly needs tweaking. For instance, the AI never goes after the items, unlike in Classic Mode, and even when you have them set to hard, they're still a little bit foolish and will fall into your traps. The graphics are what you would expect from a budget game, but they aren't bad. The shading is kinda poor though, I'll tell you that! I like though how there are marks on the spy oufits to make them have a plastic feel to them. The music is definetly the game's failing point, it is annoying and loops over and over. You're better off just muting the game and drag out the cd player. But game music doesn't make the game horrid, does it? Overall, I say Spy Vs Spy is good and that the Gamespot Reviewers aren't easy to please. This is definetly the game for kids and casual gamers. You may not like this game if you are a gaming expert, though. And I think you can play this game on Xbox LIVE, but I never had used LIVE, so I don't know what the experience is there. Just ignore the Gamespot Review, the reason they gave it a poor rating is because they're probably not easy to please.
