>> This game is amazing, considering how old it is, but I remember when it came out in the 90s--I really enjoyed it. Even a few years ago, when PS ones were still being sold, I got one with Spyro the Dragon (and Crash Bandicoot--the two almost seem to go together). It is vivid and colorful, with imaginative environments and it's own great style, with an awesome, high-quality soundtrack that fits amazingly well. For some reason I didn't get a headache playing this as I do with so many other platformers, and it stays captivating until the end. The newer Spyro games, despite new technology, do not compare to the the original (and it's original sequels). I think to appreciate this game for what it is you would have to have been around when the first playstation was big stuff. It was somewhat similar in excitement to the capabilities of the recently released 360, Wii & PS3, only newer, and not seen before unlike today when complex 3D has been the expected standard for some time. I think it would still be exciting to play, and recommend it highly.
