SSX 3 is a bigger, better looking, version of SSX Tricky and I don't mean that in a bad way. SSX Tricky was a great game but at times felt repetitive especially when going back to do the same tracks but only with a different character. Now in SSX 3 you can customize your character with money you earn doing tricks and in races. Now instead of picking each destination at a screen, you get to board your way to each different spot. The developers must have known how repetitive Tricky became after a while so they added in different small challenges to each mountain such as finding a skiers gear or snowboarding through a certain amount of checkpoints in a certain period of time. These challenges may seem a bit pointless at times but it does allow you tot earn extra money for board upgrades, extra gear and even a new head. Each new snowboard you purchase has different Uber tricks, an over-the-top flashy and impossible snowboarding trick, to perform which has become the series' signature. SSX 3 provides a great game for fans of the series, snowboarding fans, and even casual gamers and is definitely a must buy.
