A solid snowboarding title but lacks in comparison to others in the series.

When it comes down to it SSX is probably one of my favorite series. Each and every new game manages to inovate and make the game a lot more fun to play. Unfortunately SSX On Tour though good just lacks something that made other ssx games so much fun. Comparing this to ssx 3 isnt fair. SSX3 is hands down the best snowboarding game ever made. SSX On Tour is only pretty good. The gameplay is still great. There are a lot of tricks but im not a big fan of the new trick stick. You use the right stick to pull off special tricks. The special tricks also slow down time which is not that good. Ingame graphics are pretty good but I actually think they lack in comparison to SSX 3. Thats not good considering ssx3 is far older. The art style reminds me of Amped 3 (another solid title) which can go both ways. If you like that underground style artwork then its good. Otherwise its gonna get real old. The music in the game is fantastic though the actual music quality does not seem as good as it was in SSX3. Also no Radio Big in this one which is too bad. This game is fairly cheap now (i got mine for 10 dollars at a grocery store) and it really is a nice game. Just dont expect anything fantastic. Overall On Tour is a solid title that manages to inovate with the skiing functions but overall just dosent compare to other games in the series.
