SSX on Tour, Boards or Ski's?

So far I have only played for a little while, but here is my review on what I have seen so far.
It starts off good, a game is always better when you can create your character, but its a shame you have to choose between board and ski's and can't let your character use different ones for different events.
It starts off quite slow you have to complete shred challenges before joining the tour, these can be quite repetitive.
Once you join the tour the fun starts. I'm afraid this is where I'm up to at the moment, working my way up the chart on the tour.
I haven't tried 2-player but I am disappointed that you can't do 3 or 4 player.
