If you enjoy having your ass beat on easy by other NPCs this is the game for you.

I haven't played any SSX in series before and I never will again. There are three types of events - trick, race, and survive. The game's controls are fairly easy to get the hang of in order to perform tricks that help build boost in your boost meter. The trick events are fun and relatively difficult. Even if you fail it's not that hard to try again and pass the event. Race can be **** IMPOSSIBLE, it just depends on the location. The open air maps that have few if any crevaces that swallow you up are fun and can be an enjoying challenge. The underground maps with race events that have WAY TOO MANY crevaces like the @#$%^^ African maps should have been SCRAPPED in quality testing. I seriously want to find the morons who designed the event and force them through a slow death. The race events such as these are virtually impossible and can hold the entire game up. SSX does give you the option to skip an event but only after failing it several hundred times and don't get me started on the rewind system - you can rewind, but it doesn't effect other NPCs so they continue their PERFECT RUN downhill. This is all on easy difficulty by the way, not sure if the devs understand what easy really means. I've played on all the continents so far and have to force myself to have the patience not to throw the controller into a busy street. It's that maddening. I'm not **** around. If you have any hold ups in buying this game because you're unsure if you'd have fun with it, save your damn money. I don't know what Namco-trained gamers reviewed this and gave it an 8.5 but it's so damned overrated... and the reason that I purchased the game to begin with. What a **** joke. Oh, and I haven't even gotten to the survive mode! Your only mission on those maps is to survive, pretty straight forward. But don't worry, those are impossible too. They fill those events with holes in the ground so large that you could hit the iron core of the Earth. It's horrible. I've skipped two of them after attempting to win a hundred times. Not sure why the items for purchase are always sub-standard or why ALL clothing items don't carry a bonus (what a waste of resources) but even if you do set your character up with a bonus item it doesn't seem to have much of an effect at all.

I can't believe this game made it past quality testing and received an 8.5. So stupid. I can think of several people that need to be fired.
