Slow start, but amazing when it picks up

This game is perfect for anyone who wants a more FPS based Fallout 3. The gun play is very well polished and the atmosphere really sucks you in. The weather cycle and lighting provides a rich experience throughout the game. The Zone (area effected by the Chernobyl disaster and where the game takes place) is beautifully designed, with old building and anomalies that make the world so fun to explore. Searching for artifacts and other valuable items is a super addicting activity that will keep you playing for hours on end. The story isn't the greatest in the world, but the world surrounding you keeps you interested in what happens next. The different mutants are each terrifying and unique and will lead to some pretty memorable encounters. I really enjoyed the different characters that you meet in the game, too. From merchants, fellow stalkers, and faction leaders, the game presents interesting characters that will captivate you throughout the experience. The only problem with the game that I found was the voice acting was weak, as it was made by a small group of Ukrainians. Other than that, this game is well worth a spin!
