An innovative first-person shooter/role playing game, the horrors of the Chernobyl incident are sure to stay with you.

You are the Marked One. The game picks up with you being flung from a death truck, turning up knowing nothing about yourself or your environment. You exist within the Zone, an almost post-apocalyptic land created from the aftermath of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear reactor explosion (and, according to Stalker, another in 1989). Mutants litter the landscape and it's your task to go on a journey of discovery into the unknown, ultimately heading for the core itself. Conversation with NPC's is very limited, it uses the standard accept or decline speech options (think Fallout 3). Gameplay is excellent, STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl is a FPS/RPG (first-person shooter/role-playing game) hybrid. The game does not function with the player's statistics, instead of leveling up, progress is made by acquiring armour, guns, and completing quests. UNFORGETTABLE.
