An old Nintendo 64 classic returns in 3D and is still as good as it was back in 1997.
Other than the whole Star Fox team and Andross, plenty of the old favorites are back like Kat and the popular Star Wolf team. The controls on the 3DS work really well along with the gyro movement just by moving the game around, or if you feel old-school like me, the classic N64 controls are in full fold.
Star Fox 64 on the 3DS has been through a major overhaul when it comes to grpahics, presentation and music. Plenty of the old voices from the N64 classic are here which makes this remake even better in a sense. Also, the multiplayer aspect is back and sadly it lacks in comparison to the original console following. Goes to show that online is usually not a very good thing.
Star Fox 64 3D is a very good remake of a very good game from the late 90s that can be played on the go this time. Veterans of the N64 version may be able to plow through all the levels on all of the difficulties with relative ease while newcomers would learn to appreciate such classics like this. The game is short, though the urge to better your old score will keep you going and going.
