Even after nearly 10 years, this game still stands as my favourite shooter of all time.

Alright. The dialogue may be cheesy, the levels fairly easy, but there's no denying the greatness of this game. Star Fox 64 is one of the N64's best because of its simple and responsive controls, and the game is plain fun. It's enjoyable. Even after beating the game countless times, chances are there's still stuff that needs to be done (i.e. medals for each planet). This game outdoes Star Fox for the SNES in every way without going overboard (Star Fox Adventures). I'm glad I still own this game, and it's even better that it's on Virtual Console. I'd recommend this to anyone based solely on its solid gameplay and funny characters.
