I had the first star fox on the super Nintendo and I loved it, to be honest I could not see how such a great game could be improved. Star fox on the Nintendo 64 proved me wrong and positively improved what was originally a truly amazing experience. Star fox 64 takes the seres to the next level by introducing a tank first of all along with a few other playable vehicles, one even being a submarine so when you think you've mastered the legendary spaceship your further challenged with other vehicles which all behave differently and the enemies are relentless each with different attacks and weakness's. This game is what I believe a revolution in flying games with a fantastic story to match, and there's a sense of real companionship among your fellow team mates with their realistic artificial intelligence (maybe this is because I'm sad but I thought there was). There's also a multi-player mode which is executed beautifully and can support up to four players. Star fox really is a great game and the bosses and secret passage that are in the levels make the rewards all the more sweeter. This game should not be missed by anyone.
