Good thing they scrapped the N64 version, because Star Fox Adventures is an amazing title with some great graphics.

After the huge success of Star Fox 64, I didn't think that another Star Fox could top it, but come 2002, I was way wrong. But, Star Fox Adventures wasn't even supposed to be a Star Fox game to begin with. Rare decided to scrap the N64 version of the game, and remake it fresh on the Nintendo Gamecube, and it turned out almost perfect. Not only were the graphics totally redone and worked to perfection, but the new characters from Star Fox made it a must buy for almost any Star Fox fan from the past. Some people were upset from the way it went from a sweet shooter, to an action adventure game, but many didn't care after the outstanding, beautiful, hell of a game.

Star Fox Adventures had a very well put together story line, and was almost executed perfectly. Fox's main quest was to find the Spell Stones to meet the demands of General Scales. Your mission is also to bring 4 different parts of Dinosaur Planet from space, back to the planet. The story is awesome, but it does seem kind of awkward when you're using Fox with a staff that uses magical powers. Sure, it's extremely fun, but using Fox to light wood on fire with a mystical rod, is quite odd.

Star Fox Adventures has some extremely outstanding graphics. Some early X-Box 360 games have comparable graphics to this amazing game. The character models couldn't look better, and Fox actually has indivisual hairs on his body, it looks outstanding. The environments are extremely well done also. From the water to snow, or the grass to lava, all of it looks real and absolutely amazing. Star Fox Adventures just goes to show you that the Gamecube has some serious graphical ability, and can make games look extremely outstanding, and shouldn't go unoticed by anyone.

Extremely good sound, and music in Star Fox Adventures. The voice acting is perfect, but the voice of Fox is kind of whiney sounding and can get a little annoying. Also, sometimes animals speak a different 'Dinosaur Planet' language, but it sounds ridiculous and almost too stupid, but it doesn't take away from how good the game is or anything. The sounds effects are great, and sound almost perfectly. There's never a sound that doesn't really sound like it would in real life, it all sound amazing. Take the gameplay of a Zelda game, put it in a pot, then mix a little Star Fox in with it, and there you have it. Star Fox Adventures is a extremely Zelda-like game that has tons of elements from old Star Fox games like flying a ship, and talking with Slippy the Toad, and Peppy the Hare. In Star Fox Adventures you can walk around with freedom, and the weapon you use is a staff with mystical powers that was once Krystals, who is a charatcer in the game, but I don't want to give away spoilers. The staff is almost like the sword in Zelda, you use it for attacking enemies, but you can also use it for puzzle situations because of the mystical powers it possesses. Once in a while, you can find caves that you can upgrade your staff in, and you can use even more powers like shooting beams, or using a pad to jump really high. You also have a partner with you, a little dinosaur named Tricky who helps you in the long adventure. You can also collect currency which are little bugs you can find under rocks, and other places. With the bugs you can buy maps, items, and many more things. The gameplay is extremely outstanding, and should go down in history as one of the greatest adventure games ever made.

There isn't tons of replay value, but just coming back and playing the main game over again is amazing. From collecting everything, and beating the game, you probably have about 20 to 30 hours on your hand, and it wont dissapoint.

I have to say, I didn't think Star Fox Adventures was going to be an outstanding game with plenty of things to do, but what Rare and Nintendo pulled off is an amazing, outstanding, and a fantastic game to say the least. I found out that even if the character doesn't fit, a game can still be amazing, and one of the best ever. + Amazing adventure.
+ Top notch visuals.
+ Great story.
+ Good level design.
+ Very fun game overall.

- Not a standard Star Fox game.
- Not enough flying missions.
- Barely any value after you complete the game.
