one of the better Starfox games
the bad - the game isn't short but it definitely isn't that long, which means it won't take you too long to beat it. there really isn't anything to unlock expect for Sepia mode which is the adventure mode played in black & white, which i don't know why anyone would want to play it that way. as usual in an adventure game, there's a few really annoying parts to the game.
you start off with a girl named Krystal. she hears a distress call from a nearby planet and gets caught up with an evil general. then she has to go to a palace known as Krazoa Palace and put one of the 6 spirits back into its place. but Krystal gets imprisoned in a crystal (how ironic) and this is where the game goes over to Fox.
he hears that Dinosaur Planet is in trouble and that pieces of the planet are floating out of place around the planet. so you collect the 4 Spellstones and put them back in the places known as the Force Point Temples to restore the planet back to normal. and you must also find the rest of the Krazoa spirits and return them to Krazoa Palace.
to collect the Spellstones, you have to fly to the floating plants with your Arwing and when you get to the planets you have to go through many puzzles, bad guys, bosses, etc. to get to the Spellstone. so basically, the games main concept is the get to these Spellstones and put them back. and do the same with the Kraoza Spirits. overall, that's 9 things you have to collect but it doesn't take as long as it sounds. some parts of the game are extremely easy. Fox's only weapon throughout the game is a magical staff that he finds, which was dropped by Krystal. its main attack at first is just to use it to hit enemies and Fox can perform many different moves and kicks while fighting enemies but overtime you'll find new things for the staff such as a fire and ice blaster, it'll cause mini earthquakes, help you boost up to high places, etc.
you'll also have a little dinosaur with you known as Tricky. he'll help you out when you find him and do things such as dig holes, melt ice with his flame attack, etc. he helps out at many parts.
overall, the game is a fun adventure game. there really isn't anything to do after you beat the game, the game doesn't even save when you beat the final boss. there's nothing special to unlock and no multiplayer. you should enjoy the adventure so this game is worth owning if you can find it for a cheap price cause you might find yourself replaying it again someday.
