Star Fox Assault brings Star Fox back to it's origin, with some new gameplay, and almost did it right. It tried to mix Star Fox Adventures with Star Fox 64....and it turned out to be this. The flying stages are great, the graphis are exelent, the gameplay is perfect, this part is what makes this game good. The ground part is disappointing...the gameplay is not that good, with fox and specialy with the landmaster. They didn't maintain SFA graphics, they made it all over.....and it isn't as good as good. The sound is great part of the game, the spece sound, shots, musics, and the dialogue are all of exelent quality. The single player mode is very small, don't expect more than 5 hours to finish it, and it's not like Star Fox 64, so it doesn't have any alternative routes....so after you finish you'll try the split screen multiplayer mode, that's very nice. This game tryed to be a classic, and make a good use of the name it has, and it almost did it...maybe in Star Fox Assault 2?
