Definitely one of the best games, but there are still some flaws.

Lots of things in Star Ocean are just off the top. There is just so much to do in the game, get so many different items, accessories, make your own items, learn new skills, and me, I love all this stuff that this game gives and so many other games don't. What really got me involved in this game is that you can recruit lots different character that make weapons for you, or you can choose to make your own weapons. The gameplay is really, challenging. When you play in the 4th dimension difficulty, it seems almost impossible to beat if you're too lazy to level up. Even when you're at max level, it's still challenging.

The graphics and voice acting could use a bit of work though, but the music fits the setting. When the scene is climactic, the music gets dramatic.

If you're a fan of RPG's where you decide what kind of weapon your character is going to wield, and make decisions on your own, etc. then by all means get this game. But if you get frustrated with some bad graphics, then don't get it.

In my opinion, this is one of the best games I've ever played. If square enix could make the battles a bit more fun (they already are because of all the different skills you can learn and equip) and the graphics a bit better, (to me the graphics were a failed attempt at making anime) then this game might even have the potential to be in some of the top games.
